The
Mulligan Tour entered its 4th event of the season, and the
players are continuing to improve.
Some of the lowest scores in the history of the Tour were again
posted at The Legends of Massillon, one of the finest public courses
in all of Ohio.
The
location proved to be an advantage for nearby residents Darren Parkes
and Dave Hawk. Darren,
who has undergone dramatic swing changes since the 2003 season, posted
an amazing 82, giving him a net 63.
Darren had a scoring average of 97.3 in 2003, so be sure to
congratulate him on his dramatic improvement.
2003
Tour runner-up Dave Hawk rebounded from a tough week at Hawk’s Nest
and fired a net 68 and vaulted himself into the top 10 in the points
standings.
Tour
rookie Dave Jennings had a solid day, shooting a net 69 and also won a
closest to the pin. Acting
Tour Director Chuck Nagy continues to play steadily in 2004 after a
disappointing rookie season. With
his 3rd place finish, Chuck is leading the Tour in Points,
followed closely by 2003 Tour Champion Gregg Roberts, Darren Parkes,
Tim Rath and Brian Doyle. With several events left to go, the race for the Tour
Champion appears to be wide open!
