The
Mulligan Tour made its way to Pine Hills this weekend and despite
forecasts of bad weather, the golf gods continue to smile upon the
Tour.
Wiley
Tour veteran Mike Thompson fired a dramatic net 65 to take his first
title of the season. What
a terrific score on such a wonderful course.
Nicely done.
Darren
Parkes did what he has been doing all year on Tour, which is shooting
solid scores. The UK
native was disappointed that he was not an alternate for the European
Ryder Cup team, and was out to prove Bernhard Lanhger wrong.
Tour
rookies Eric Hannum and Dave Jennings had their best finishes of the
season. Look for one of
these rookies to step it up and contend as we enter the home stretch
of the season.
For
the year, Dave Hawk has a 2 point lead over Darren, with Chuck Nagy
and Tim Rath closely behind. Dennis
Beno, who was too busy reliving his high school glory days to play
this week, rounds out the top 5.
